t's Sunday and before the week starts, I need to give myself some space and time to restore a deep connection to my heart and nourish my whole self with a a sacred break.
It's my Sunday ritual to Just Relax. Let go. Be in the present moment. Light some incense. Find peace and be still.
I know all too well how an overactive mind, chronic tension and busyness is how we're all conditioned to live. It's what's normal. From my perspective, however, this way of living actually destroys every aspect life. It's hard to enjoy life and relationships when I'm tense. And it's also 'heart-killing' because it causes constricted blood flow and high blood pressure. Sometimes even too much cortisol, which is so not what my body needs, unless I'm being threatened.
The ability to relax and let go of tension has been one of the biggest changes I've made in my life. I learned that relaxing is "heart-healing" and an act of sacred self-care. It's one of the most important aspects of my life. And right now on our planet, it's a very important need we all have.
I relax to feel clear. Relax to feel joyful. Relax to feel compassionate. Relax to feel energized. Relax to feel radiant and magical.
Sunday self-care + self-love. Making time to Relax. Finding balance, joy, and inner peace.
In heart & presence,
This is where I write about trauma, ptsd/complex, attachment and relationships, building resilience, holistic & transpersonal healing, eastern mindfulness, somatic psychology, trauma-sensitive self-care, modern neuroscience, important research about trauma, and how trauma affects this precious life....mostly.
